You know the worst thing about a Blinding white light? Probably came with pretend omnimous background music? Was Falling completely unaware of the wind pressure slipping by, or the fact you're pretty close to knocking your head pretty roughly. That in all this the last thing you can recall is a Sudden Rush of Water all over your body jointing you awake. Disorienting to find your body suddenly not the size you recall, limbs struggling to grasp at the water.. What the!
The first thing you learn in swimming class, Keep your Mouth shut, don't breathe in the water. You know a smart researcher should have done? Followed those rules. You know what he really did, gasped for the air the water replacing this air in his lungs causing gasping and gurgling. The miracle of life was the various little ledges for the dinosaur to grab, the unfortunate irony of life is the water's current was just too strong pulling him along. Forcing this new form, new thing to shout and cry in despair.. "HELP!! I-I can't Swim!" Useless claws grabbing and slipping along those ledges, incapable of grasping like human fingers he was used to.
Of Course... Haha this won't stop a curious Researcher for asking questions even with impending Doom at the mouth. "Where AM I!?" This just earning him even more coughing as more water rushed, his short little stubby arms weren't being properly used correctly... Not that it mattered with his little body having more density than what he was personally used to, he unaware of types.. Would be Highly unaware of How useless it would be to struggle, probably best sink and just end it here.

Roaming the more isolated parts of the city had proved to be a pleasant experience for Lief. A temporary break from the hustle and stress that crowds tended to bring. He had been stalking a short distance away from the stream, all four paws on the ground with his nose occasionally poking into the grass, constantly intrigued by the unique scents he had yet to experience in his life before arriving in the city. A small part of him hoped that he'd be able to forage some food; but that was a fruitless endeavor, literally. Wild food wouldn't aimlessly be growing inside of a city; they had farms for that. If Lief really wanted to forage, he'd have to do it outside of the walls, and he knew it.
Still, old habits die hard.
The peaceful outing was rudely interrupted when a cry echoed a short distance away. Lief shot straight up to his hind legs, grassy-ears perked high as he turned his head in several directions in an effort to hear the sound. He'd never really heard another 'mon cry for help before, and it was incredible just how alarming that sound was. A second cry had the Raichu sprinting off in it's direction, "Hang on!"
Lief slowed his sprint upon coming across the stream, running parallel toward it and quickly spotting the struggling 'mon. A quick attack helped him effortlessly catch up, and the electric-type charged into the water with little hesitation to grab the stranger. "It's okay!" He called, hoping that would still the Cubone's struggles enough to prevent damage, before grabbing the smaller 'mon and using his back legs to fight the strong current. With a powerful kick, Sigmus was dragged to shore by the now-panting Lief, assuming that the disoriented 'mon didn't struggle too hard to be rescued.

The rescuer shouted from a distance, a reply he had barely heard but most definitely gave him the strength to fight the opposite direction of the current a little harder. Unfortunate this was not effective, but luckily the new ally mouse-thing caught up jumping in grabbing right at him. "Waah!" was all the strength and coherent thinking he had as this new strange creature dragged out of the water toward the shoreline. Where the creature barely standing on four breathing heavily.
He just laid there on the soil dizzy and highly disoriented from the current, breath catching mixture of air and cough... It was tough, he'd never actually almost drowned before, his whole body was in a complete chilled shock. When he tried to even flip over to gain something of gravity, it just made him realize how weak his body was. Legs and arms, not even daring wishing to move. He was barely able to function in order to speak, "tha-tha-thank you.." The small little gasp of thank you, before his arm collapsed next to his side, whole body just taking deep breaths.. Relaxing to sweet sweet relief of... LIFE. He Still was here. Still ALIVE. He. He. Survived.

The mouse thing Lief may have only sprinted and struggled for a short while, but he was also left somewhat breathless after escaping the river, slouching on his back paws as he caught his breath and looked over his rescue. The poor 'mon seemed exhausted, almost like he'd been struggling in that stream for awhile. Lief felt a sense of pride in knowing that he did the right thing, even if he didn't really think about what he was doing first. Mother would not have approved. The thought only made him feel even more proud. But seeing how wrung-out the 'mon was, he allowed him time to regather his strength, staying by his side in case the Cubone blacked out and required further assistance. No way was he going to simply leave this half-drowned 'mon alone just yet. "You're welcome." The response felt weightless, unsure of what else to say. Lief didn't really need to be thanked, yet the utterance brought a mutual understanding; if some 'mon hadn't saved him, then...
Well, no need to dwell on that. Lief stood by the Cubone's side, his tail resting in a circle around him as he began to groom his cheek pouches in an effort to get water off of them. It was probably fortunate that the 'mon was a ground-type, any accidental discharges would go completely unnoticed.
After what Lief deemed to be an appropriate amount of time, he'd lower himself onto his front legs, sniffing once at the waterlogged 'mon before gently asking, "Are you going to be okay?"

He wasn't sure how long he was just enjoying laying there heavy breathing trying to calm his mind up for survival and what action to to do next. This moment of meditation was just enough to let those stream of questions come and go. Where was he? What was he? How did this happen? Was this a dream? The list was infamously long, but deep breathing and absolutely no energy to ask.. He just let them come and go, following with a tired sleep yawn as the creature asked if he was going to be okay. He gave a slight nod slowly picking himself up trying to figure which question was best to answer first.
"What's your name? " He asked a simple question hoping to have conversation with avoiding direct questions. Though his next one felt a little bit obvious, what were you. Considering he was now standing on two legs.. taking in his own body.. Fascinated by the little trio of claws. No wonder he couldn't swim.. How heavy was he to boot? he felt this odd... Need to cover his face, carry a stick or something. What was he a child? Why is this feeling lurking deep?

Lief waited patiently for an answer, seeing how drained the 'mon was and already guessing that he would need more rest than this. He would probably need to lie down somewhere, not just on the hard ground... Did the 'mon have a home in the city? Lief would probably need to escort him there...
Seeing the small nod prompted a smile out of the Raichu, and he lifted himself off his front paws to stand, though he remained somewhat hunched to avoid towering over the ground-type. His head tilted to the side as a name was requested. Maybe the 'mon wasn't so drained after all? "I'm Lief." He answered, simply relieved to see the other Pokemon's strength returning. Although the dazed and befuddled look on the Cubone was a little... hard to explain. For a moment, Lief wondered why the 'mon looked like he had just woken up in an entirely different country, but pushed it aside.
He's just recovering from shock.
"And yours?" Unable to help himself from repeating a question, Lief added, "Are you sure you're okay?"

The other one, long pointy elf-like ears, flat face, and the thing just bending right on over him... Trying to be polite, he actually felt like a child in comparison... Almost as if that thing was his mother leaning down to check-up on him, a comparison that made a slight shot of shock go through him. He flinched back, right about the time the pokemon had asked his own questions. Lief.. He gave a slight recover from the sudden emotional shock, focusing on the guy's name.. And questions.
The name was lief or was it leaf? leaf seemed to obvious, he tried to peer around the back. And his? His... This was a game, it knew him right? No. Did he want to share his? What if this was some secret massive organization... Then he recalled back the computer knew his name, he was certain they knew his identity. Did the things in here use last names? "Sigmus, my name is Sigmus..." He struggled to speak founding his voice sounding slightly off, chirpier.. was it sadder? Deeper? He was a child.. Had to be in a child's creature body. The thing asked if he was okay, he-he seriously wasn't sure..
In an attempt to find out, he went to take a step forward, only to lose balance and fall face flat. The world spinning once more, he forced himself back up to try again. This time he managed to step.. Then another. But anyone watching him can tell he was still trapped in the mind of somebody drowning, as his walking came off as sideway with some imaginary nonexistent current. His mind just boggled by the combination of these things. "Yeah.. I think.. I need to rest.. just.. I-I don't know where.." He barely could think this accurately.. just slowly slumping to the ground near a large tree stick, slowly picking the sticks one-by-one placing the large stick on his head.. The smaller sticks covering up some of his face in some sort of odd make-shift mask. Picking up one of the broken pieces to carry around.. This.. this.. felt better, why did this feel better? Why did he feel a surge of confidence from this?
