• Hope's beginnings were a little more humble than where she is now. Born the only child of a royal guard and his loving wife, her early years were simple, but good. Her parents rarely desired anything more for their lives, favoring focusing on family values and frugal ways of living. Growing up, young Hope adored her father, and very eagerly desired to follow in his footsteps. To her, he was a hero, brave and true. She often tried to emulate that kind of behavior in her own life as a child. Hope was always the kind to defend other kids. Even though she was never that physically strong or experienced, she would constantly jump in to defend the weak and defenseless. Often times, her mother would find Hope coming home, covered in bruises. Her parents would try to warn her against getting into fights with the other children, but their words never really seemed to sink in to her head. To Hope, it didn't matter how many times she would get beaten down, as long as she was helping others.
• As Hope grew, eventually her father decided to teach her how to fight properly. Hope eagerly accepted his help, still determined to become a guard much like him. She was quick to learn, but her Father often lectured her on her impulsiveness and lack of strategy in battle. Hope tried her best to overcome her opponent with brute force and intimidation, but found herself easily defeated by a clever move or so. 
• When it came time for Hope to join the ranks as a lowly guard, an unfortunate tragedy struck. Her father had been killed by an outlaw who had intended to make an attempt for the King's life. The outlaw had been successfully stopped, however they got away before they could  apprehended. The loss of her father shattered Hope's entire world. How could her father have just died like that? In her mind, the heroes were supposed to get back up. To live and protect, and keep criminals from getting away from their actions. Yet, her father, who lived to serve the King, to protect those in his charge... came to a bitter end. The outlaw got away with their freedom and their life. More than they could ever deserve. Though she struggled with her father's death for years, her sorrow eventually grew to rage, and then to resolve. She would become a fantastic guard, much like her father, and she vowed she would never let a criminal get away with their actions. 
• As the years passed, the old wide-eyed,naive Hope seemed to have died with her own father. Though she kept a strong sense of justice, Hope was more hardened to the cruel reality of the world. The longer she worked as  a guard, the more injustice she saw.  Hope flew through the ranks, learning and becoming more powerful with every moment to put in to her career. It was no longer an occupation, but a burning passion for Hope.  It was no surprise to anyone when she surpassed even her previous superiors. One the day she found that the old General had to step down from his position, Hope was enthusiastic to take over the rank. A great honor to her, and something she had dreamed of for so many years. Now in a powerful position, she sometimes wonders if she rushed through her previous ranks too fast. Though a little uncertain in her ability, she desires to serve the current King to the fullest, and make her father proud.
