An unknown past from overseas and a metal collar clasped firmly around his neck, Rudolf has seen and done a lot that few will ever know. He was trained into the perfect attack dog, on the brink of ferality yet with enough cognitive ability to be considered 'civilized'. He walks the fine line between instinct and thought, though anyone who has had the pleasure or displeasure of getting to know him will quickly find that he prefers instinct over anything else. He is a bite first, ask questions later kind of guy, and it is not uncommon for first encounters to include being chased down.
While a highly sociable creature, Rudolf struggles to actually make friends. First impressions are terrible, considering he views everyone as potential prey until told otherwise. Anyone he thinks he is befriending (he's very easy to please) probably fears him more than anything else, and Rudolf has dealt with plenty of people avoiding him after the first encounter. Cut him some slack; he's new to this. Rudolf is quite the loyal canine, and his will bends to whoever shows him even the slightest bit of affection. Toss him a bone, and he will follow you forever.
Of course, considering his upbringing, his job, and how he approaches strangers, Rudolf has plenty of people who want him dead. Or, maybe, they just find him revolting or terrifying and want nothing to do with him. Either way, it can be hard to get through his thick skull that you don't like him. He hates being scolded, so, in the event that you find an unwanted Lycanroc pining for your attention, just yell at him. So long as you are not marked as an enemy, as prey, or as a member of the guild (he can smell it on you), he will leave you alone.
If it was not obvious by now, Rudolf is terrible at reading many social cues. That said, if you are looking to romance him, you will have your work cut out for you. Highly affectionate, it can be easy to misinterpret his lack of social boundaries and immediate skinship. He likes picking cute things up, he's always game for a good cuddle, and his mood can do a complete 180 flip when someone pats his head. He is touch-starved, so, perhaps, you could begin by becoming a primary source of the affection he craves.
