The day has final come. After many years of preparing for the moment Kaida was finally been accepted into the guild. It was like her parents and ancestors before her. She was very excited not knowing what entirely to expect from it that. Her parents had taught everything she knew for most of her life so being without them would a huge chance. Hopefully one for the better. The dreepy smiled look down at her guild badge and clutched it tightly. It was so shiny like treasure. A treasure she would hold dear to her heart and never let go.

That was simple no words to described the emotions. After placing the badge in her satchel, Kaida looked around watching her new guild-mates chatting and walking about doing whatever it is they do. Maybe she could make some new friends? No, she will make new friends! Friends would along way in the guild after and any royal guard-to-be has to learn to be calm and approached.

With that in mind, the dreepy began to float around to see a feeling of what happened. That is until she notriced a small bird. A rookdiee if remember right? It was so cool to see one up close. Perfect! "Hello,Excuse me?" She said waved the rookdiee, "Would be alright to speak with you if have a moment to spare."

It was chaotic, and a chaos he still as of yet did not understand. Artanaro watched as all the creatures- pokemon, the Guild Master had called them- milled about, chatting or working or grabbing a meal, or a moment of rest. He wasn't sure he trusted the Guild Master, and he certainly didn't trust these beings, but he had no other option for right now- This was no fever-dream, no drug-induced psychosis. This was all real, and it was something he simply had to... accept, for the moment. That didn't make the talking animals less unsettling.[break][break]
Nor the fact that he was one. While he was able to hold the countenance of someone at ease with their self, with the natural ticks and mannerisms of the bird-like creature... rookidee weren't real not in the sense he meant, and he certainly wasn't one, despite his current appearances. The idea that he had been turned into a bird was... well beyond him. It was exhausting, honestly, and Artanaro kept looking forward to blinking or waking up and finding himself back in his cousin's bedroom, hearing his partner gripe at him over the phone.[break][break]
The sound of a voice, aimed presumably at him, snapped him from his thoughts. Artanaro hopped to look at the source, which looked like a small aircraft with a lizard dangling from it. He fluffed himself a bit, a cocked his head, listening. "Oh, that'd be fine." He whistled back. "I'm not doing anything pressing at the moment." No, what he needed to do was learn more about this.... Niphios. And talking to the people who lived here, even just about chit-chat, would give him some answers.

Kaida waiting patiently for rookidee's reply he seemed to have something on his mind. Maybe he thinking about a mission or want it something else? It didn't matter right at the moment in time. She couldn't quite put her fin on it but then again Kaida wasn't to go snooping where she shouldn't. Least not one the first day. That got her wondering what would her first mission be? Was going to be like fighting an outlaw or-it was beside the point! Oh, he would speak with her. Excellent! "Great,thank you so much!"

The dreepy practically radiant with glee as she rush over to bird pokemon with great gusto. How long has been since she want to meet a new face and finally got the face! "I'm Kadia, this is my first day here. Pleased your acquaintance." She smiled gently raised fin with gentle smile hopefully he wanted to shake it. She just has so many questions to ask and so little time. "You are new here yourself or are you veteran? What do you think of the guild and the guildmaster? Have you own a mission if so how many? Have to seen any new or maybe found some important treasures!"

The creature rushed him, Artanaro keeping himself from flinching. This was hardly the strangest thing he'd seen so far. And she at least was polite, introducing herself and extending a hand..... a... flipper?... to shake. He shook off his reflex to raise his arm, and instead raised a taloned claw, and shook with that. |"The pleasure is mine. I'm Artanaro." Pokemon didn't seem to commonly have surnames, so Artanaro opted to leave his out. Naturally, she started pelting him rapid-fire with questions. Human or creature, it seemed like some things didn't change.[break][break]
He paused, and took his time answering. "I'm new here. I've only been with the Guild a few days, now. It's a lot more hectic here than I thought..." He said, slipping in a bit of humanity. "The Guildmaster... he's... very kind." Artanaro said, carefully. "But he's a bit hard to read. It's difficult to tell what he's thinking." Artanaro sighed, shaking his head a bit. "I haven't been on a mission yet, though. Admittedly, I'm a bit nervous about it."[break][break]
He shuffled his wings again, fluttering a bit in place. He just had to think about how songbirds typically acted... "What about you? You said this was your first day... What did you do before coming to the Guild?" Artanaro asked, hoping it wasn't too much of an open question. It was common enough to ask what someone did before landing a job for him... but perhaps pokemon and people were different in that regard, too. Hopefully not.

It was a unique name for a pokemon but every pokemon name was that. His family no doubt were from a foreign land somewhere. Cool! "No way your new too, that's amazing!" A fellow novice to the guild just her luck! He seem rather...stiff if that would be the appropriate word for it but pretty nice.
"I can understand that but it's expected since their a lot of work to do." There a ton of reasons for it the missions, beating outlaws, and protect the Innocent and so on. "Yeah, I meet the guildmaster during my exam. His full of mysteries but we are all to some degree." Then nodded in empathy.
"Adaptable to chance is never easy even for the best of us but it's best to make the most of it." She quickly glanced at a group of tough looking guildmen in admiration then back to bird pokemon. "Don't be Artanaro, I am sure you'll do great. I know I will when I get a chance. My parents were part of the guild so I simply follow in their steps." To be better than they never were. |
