Sniffing around, the lumbering wolf may have been a strange sight to anyone who passed by the alley. The Pokemon of the city took to their common practices of etiquette, standing upright if possible, carrying about their business without dawdling. Yet for a person to so willingly drop down on all fours and lower their nose to the ground?
He earned quite a few looks, but they went unnoticed. The Lycanroc's head jerked back with a sneeze that quickly morphed into a shake of his coarse pelt.
Rudolf pulled away from whatever had caught his attention and lifted his right paw, using thick claws to scratch idly at a spot beneath his collar. Heavy steps carried him to where the alley intersected with market street. He paused, sniffing at the air as he continued to slowly scratch. There were too many people, he decided as red eyes followed the movements of a Furret scurrying over to a stall before his attention switched to a group of children trying to distract a merchant while one of them tried to snatch some candy.
With another sneeze, he stopped his scratched to rub at his snout. The Lycanroc turned away, retreating into the alleyway. Had he gone in, he likely would have been tempted to swipe food for himself. Yet, with too many people, he knew he would only end up causing trouble for the boss. Maybe he should rummage through the trash before he left. There was always free food in the trash. [attr="class","box1"]The market street was only really good for the merchandise, in all honesty. His reasons for that opinion were obviously more nefarious than the typical patrons, as one could probably guess from him being an outlaw. He looked about, already noting a few uneasy looks tossed his direction as he passed by the occasional pop-up shop and meek merchant, pokemon pulling their children a little closer, away from the sneering hound. It made him growl in frustration, though that in itself was probably perceived as more of a threat and just worsened matters.
How annoying. Why did he even come out here anyway? Another growl would follow suit, but it came from his stomach this time, and Ares was reminded of his hunger. The smell of foods had attracted him to the area! But as the crowds only seemed to be growing, he decided it wasn't quite worth the trouble of dealing with a 'misunderstanding' by staying out in the open like this. So, with an irritated chuff, the canine took a detour into the nearest alley, if not to rethink his gameplan, then perhaps to just get out of the thick crowd. He wasn't afraid of anything, but he may have been feeling justa tad claustrophobic being surrounded by so many others.
It appeared he hadn't been the only one to choose that particular alley though, as it wouldn't take long before he would be crossing paths with another. One of them would have to step aside for the other to pass... and of course, Ares didn't intend on doing himself. "Move," he 'suggested' flatly, looking more bored than angry at least. This one looked a bit wild, even to his standards, so he decided it would be best to just cut to the chase and not risk dealing with a potential babbling idiot.

Where was the trash can? The paw that had rubbed at his nose moved to scratch at his neck. Thick claws clacked against the metal collar buried in coarse fur, yet no action was taken to avoid it. Instead, his focus was elsewhere, head turning this way and that way as he glanced around in search of his next free meal. He could have sworn he saw one earlier; did he pass it?
The Lycanroc began to turn, too focused on his trash dreams to notice another alley dog approaching. His steps stilled as a single command lifted in the air. Move. The wolf's head tilted to the side, folded ears twitching as he tried to place the voice. Hmm... Nope. Don't recognize it. Someone who was not fit to order him around.
His paw dropped away from his neck, and a low growl lifted in his throat before he finally turned to face the owner of the voice. Red eyes fixed upon a battle-scarred Houndoom. Had it been a little Houndour, his growling might have ceased. There was nothing cute about the full grown thing. "No." A single worded answer for a single worded command. His voice rasped, melding with the rumbling growl in his throat.
Rudolf took a step forward, though the growling was his only warning. He made no move to attack or bare his teeth, instead leaning forward slightly to give the stranger a quick sniff.

[attr="class","box1"]Ugh. Yeah, of course it had to be some twitchy weirdo, and a bold one to top it all off! He really didn't have the patience for this today, not when he was already feeling a bit hangry, so the 'challenge' and growling only made the Houndoom roll his eyes, tail flicking behind him in irritation. "No?" he questioned, just trying to clarify that the Lycanroc knew what he was saying, what he was doing. It wasn't exactly smart to try and pick a fight with this particular hound.
As he was sniffed at, Ares' snout scrunched up a bit as he growled, exposing some fangs in a snarl, not quite amused by this display coming from what could have easily been a flea-ridden nutjob. Though, really, anyone bold enough to walk up at him like this undoubtedly had a few screws loose as far as he was concerned.
With a huff, the wolf would get a face full of foul-smelling steam, a warning of his own. "Look. You obviously aren't the brightest, so I'll say it one last time. Move or I'll make you move." Ares wasn't really looking to make a battle happen, especially in such a confined space in the middle of town, but he certainly wasn't one to back down either. So if the Lycanroc chose to continue being an obstacle, the hound was prepared to shove his way past and continue on his 'merry' way.
