• Ying Yue means reflection of the moon. Jiang which means river.
• Ying has a tendency to sneak out in the middle of the night to explore. She knows the dangers of it but loves sightseeing. It's her personal attempt to try and get to know the kingdom through the eyes of a commoner.
• Ying is exceptional at archery and a masterful performer having been taught by a Decidueye and Primarina respectively. Her martial arts skills were mainly self-taught and learned from her brothers.
• Ying thinks of the moon and stars as silence friends always watch her back.

Personality

Ying is not vain or evil unlike much of the nobility, she's witty and free-spirited. While not a native-born Niphioain this princess has a warrior's spirit, a hunter's wit, and a adventurer's bravery and drivenness. Those attributes are the force that keeps her going even when times are tough. Never mistake her kindness as submissive or weak for it might be your last. There is much more to her then meets the eye. Anyone who meets her can immediately tell that Ying shows alot more compassion than her future husband. Some say she's like a mother to the less fortunate, sick, or hurt, no matter if noble or not and their not wrong in the slightest. [break][break] While many high ranking officials or those who are envious of her are displeased with this. Simply put, Ying does not care! Should you be a commoner, noble or even an outlaw she'll defend will you with her life. Ying deeply cares for this kingdom as if it was her own however she suffers from loneliness and being homesick. At times dealing with other pokemon makes her feel out of place and having to adjust to different customs has been rather tough on her but she hides it under a "mask". She doesn't show her weakness to anyone- well anyone who is not her king or a close friend.[break][break]

The Jiang Empire

The Empire is more or less like Chinese style with an emperor/empress and all. They are know for having an unique culture and traditions. It's very powerful with control over important trade routes. Since the begin of this dynasty, The Jiang Empire and Niphios kingdom have been very good trading partners and close. The was an arranged marriage between Klaus and Ying was to help solidify their bond.[break][break]

History

• Her birth happened in depths of the night on a full moon. The emperor Zhang wei Jiang ,her father, believed this was a sign of good fortune to come and chose the name Ying Yue in honor of it. She was the 12th child of the Jiang family. She had six older brothers and five sisters. Their ages varied just as well as their species thanks to her father's many wives.[break][break]
• As Ying grew up, she was taught the proper etiquette for a princess and the traditions of the land thanks to her multitude of mothers and tutors. Yet, she would never become the prim and proper type. As many of her sisters were vain and manipulative she started to detest such a life. It was from a few outside sources she began to see her hidden strengths and love of nature and the wild.[break][break]
• The noteworthy message became clear. Ying was never meant to be a heir. Her father and everyone knew it despite some wishing for her to take the mantle from the eldest. Her eldest sibling was one she was close too. She love them dearly no matter what others said. Ying would never betray their trust for power. Her heart lied with the empire and she would help it but not by being the one to leading it. This and many of her actions began to upset Zhang greatly.[break][break]
• After discovering more of Ying's hidden talents, Zhang commissioned three of the most powerful soldiers in the land to become her personal guards and sent them all to the southern palace to live with her other brothers. Whether it was simply to quenched his daughter desires for adventure or to get her out his hair is unclear.[break][break]
• The trip was long and treacherous but it brought Ying closer to her guards in fact they became good friends. Along the way they would save a Pancham from a group of bandits. He joined the group as an invaluable asset for his knowledge in herbs and became another close friend even after they arrived. The Pancham would simply become a personal servant of Ying even if she never treated him as such.[break][break]
• Ying spent many years at the palace helping out her brothers and she eventually evolved into the lovely Mienshao. After years of dedication her skills had sharpened significantly. Her little Pancham servant was now fully grown as a Pangoro.[break][break]
  
  
• All good things would come to an end at Zhang's request for her return to the main palace where she discover she was to be married to Klaus Gaiteui son of Jeannot II. Betrayed couldn't describe how she felt towards her father. She would meet the prince face to face once or possibly twice but never enough for anything like love. She didn't like him nor did she dislike like him.[break][break]
• After hearing of Zhang's plans for Ying, her Pangroo servant tried to get her to simply runaway with him after confession his love for her. She thought about it for awhile but ultimately viewed her duties to her empire too great and refused so the Pangroo disappeared after that to never return.[break][break]
• Doing the event's of Jeannot II's death and Klaus's succession into becoming king, Ying would remain in the empire to give her betrothed time to settle in. Ying had gotten over the Pangroo by this point, it was simply never to be. Time seemed to have flew by and soon she departed for Niphios. Now Ying lives in the castle with her husband to-be hoping everything will turn out alright.[break][break]
