Technically, there was nothing here he needed to attend to or worry about, and what concerns he had he could address to Lavender directly to see if they could be resolved. He was free, in terms of responsibility at least, to worry about only those matters that were pressing to the kingdom in the current moment, and about planning ahead and attending diplomatic relations and addressing issues of the law. In terms of responsibility and duties, yes, but in terms of what he was able to mentally and morally allow himself to, he found he couldn't just leave this in the hands of others and sit idly by.It wasn't a matter of trust, Klaus trusted the Guild and the Guild Master completely. But it was a matter of personal issue, he just couldn't find it in himself to condone being a passive observer, letting things go as they would and take their course without seeing it first hand or trying to bear witness and have what influence he could in things. Too much could be negative, he was wary of this, not wanting to be controlling or to cause those who were newly arrived to contrive negative opinions on him or his land because of his own impatience and anxiety, but he didn't want them to think him a distant and strange or menacing figure by holing himself up in the castle until events came to pass in whatever way they would. At the very least, Klaus wanted to get to know them and know more about these newcomers, as they were, in a manner now, his people, and his responsibility to govern and protect. More than that, they potentially held the fate of his kingdom in their hands, and with as much stress as they laid upon his shoulders, it also laid an urgency to form bonds with them while they were new and impressionable to their world, and to leave, hopefully, a good insight to help ease the transition and a positive impression of himself and his people, that they may be influenced to follow a virtuous path. In part as well, there was the curiosity, and the wariness. There was so little Klaus, and all of them really, knew about these newcomers. They were once human, but what did that really mean? What were the implications of that? There were questions upon questions, of how they came here, how they transformed, why they fell from the sky, but even if none of those had answer he or they could provide, it was perhaps the least he could to do know where they came from and who they were, hopefully, through questioning them. Maybe they would have answers. Maybe the journey would make providing those answers difficult or impossible. There was only one way to find out though. Klaus had spent a long moment looking fondly upon the entrance to the Guild, dressed only in a simple silken tunic and trousers with a lavender cape, he remembered hearing that clothing was apparently something familiar to the fallen ones, but he wanted to refrain from anything with fine embroidery or bold colors that might intimidate or cause negative impressions upon him. Finally, with a breath, Klaus had stepped into the Guild, nodding to some of the more familiar or older members as he passed and making his way towards the rooms set aside for those who had no home, and now, for the fallen ones, though he kept his distant scarlet gaze alert for those he did not recognize as ivory claws set a steady pace, weaving through the building. With luck, some might be about here still, and wouldn't mind him requesting audience. | [attr="class","white"] [attr="class","night"] [attr="class","burstmini"]Ruby [attr="class","burstmini"]@tag [attr="class","burstmini"]637 words [attr="class","burstmini"]notes: Hopefully this is good for you?
