Party Time(Event/Open)

The smells! The sounds! The sights! It was like nothing she had ever experienced before, and Summer was loving every moment of it. The lanterns' glow in the dusky twilight illuminated the crowds of Pokemon gamboling across the plaza, drifting between the dozens of brightly-decorated stalls. Here, a Togetic was handing out toys and treats to a crowd of eager children with their parents in tow. Over there, a Combusken was slicing, stirring, and serving delicious-smelling street food under the watchful eye of his Blaziken elder. Summer couldn't resist buying a skewer of meat and roasted berries, the juices mingling together for a sweet-and-savory taste that made it difficult to resist the urge to gobble it all down in one bite.

She was weaving through the crowd, making her way towards the statue of the three deities in the center of the plaza. Clutched carefully in her teeth, she had brought her offering, simple as it was: a bundle of bright yellow flowers, their centers a fiery red. Despite an unfortunate name--tickseed--they were one of her favorite flowers, and she had scoured the meadows and fields outside the city to find a good bunch. A crown of the same kind of blossom, this one bought from and woven by another vendor, rested atop her head, ringing her horns. The festival garb Mingzhu had made for her was a perfect fit, and the canid was almost prancing as she walked, swept up in the excitement of the evening.

Someone called her name, and Summer paused midstride, raising her head. She scanned the crowd curiously, soon catching sight of a familiar shape zipping towards her. Kaida was another apprentice to the guild she had met, and though their respective schedules had kept them busy, she had already come to find a kindred spirit in the excitable young Dreepy. The Houndoom's tail was wagging as Kaida buzzed circles around her. "It's good to see you too." At the praised heaped onto her and her outfit, she dipped her head bashfully, "Bah, really, it's the seamspider you ought to be complimenting." She couldn't deny that she was very, very happy with the robe herself, though. She hadn't been able to thank Mingzhu enough when she tried it on for the first time.

"Yeah, it's my first time seeing a proper festival at all, I suppose. It's been wonderful so far, though." She gestured to the stalls around them with a tip of her muzzle, a dazzled expression on her face. "Where I come from, we had our spring rites of remembrance, but nothing like this. It's all so...much. I've never seen so many different Pokemon in one place." That, more than anything, was what had struck her while living in Colbagne. There were Pokemon living here she hadn't even known existed, and they all managed to coexist--more or less.
