Artanaro squinted at the daylight. It was early morning, but already there was a crowd growing out in the plaza. The Guildmaster had stated there was a festival, though he knew not what it could best be compared to. Artanaro was of a mind to take this sort of thing in stride. The outfits he saw now were decidedly eastern in design, as we the cluster of lanterns and lights. This offered little insight, what with Artanaro having grown up mainly in the states.

But, he was trying to not be inconsiderate. A scrap of dyed silk, embroidered neatly with tight blossoms, was tied around his throat. Other creatures were dressed more extravagantly, but Artanaro wasn't still quite keen on how his... wings... worked, so he figured less would be plenty more in this instance. He took a moment to sit back, watching everyone mill about, trying to see if there were any apparent social stigmas he should try to avoid.

Not seeing anything pressing come up, Artanaro worked his way into the morning crowd, peering at this and that. Nou Rega, Lavender had said, and whatever it meant seemed of near vital importance. But, it seemed friendly and cheerful enough, the cry of vendors hawking food, or offering games for prizes- It felt similar to a boardwalk, or some other community festival. There was an event in his city, where in the summer food trucks and restaurants would drive to the square and offer cheap meals. Tastes of the city. Perhaps this was similar.

He hopped along the street, peering at the different food stalls. He was hungry, and everything did smell good. He had money from errands around the guild, and didn't get the sense that food would be too terribly expensive. But what sort of things were here? What could he even ask for? Artanaro tried to peer at a stall, feeling immense frustration rising as he was not tall enough to see over the counter. He tried to hop up a bit, letting out a frustrated and extremely unimpressive squeak.
