[attr="class","info-base"] [attr="class","info-title"]MAIN STATS [attr="class","info-post"]Here on Don't Think Twice, we use all of the basic stats from the game! There is a purpose for everything, even the speed stat that has never translated well with roleplay. As such, in your logs, you will need to keep track of the following:
Health (HP) Attack (Atk) Defense (Def) Special Attack (SpAtk) Special Defense (SpDef) Speed (Spd)
A character's stats are customized by you regardless of the base stats dictated by the games. If you want a Pikachu that has all of the stat points allocated into Speed and Attack, go for it! Just try to remember that the rest of your stats matter; you do not want to be left with nothing allocated to Defense when up against a physical attacker.
When creating your character, you will be given a certain amount of Stat Points (SP) based on your starting level. All canon positions will include the amount, though the application itself only takes the main starting levels (5 and 10) into account.

[attr="class","info-base"] [attr="class","info-title"]MOVES [attr="class","info-post"]When choosing the moves for your character, please keep in mind that we only use the most recent generation that Pokemon was in. This is to account for the fact that Gen 8 does not have the full Pokedex, so if your species was last in Gen 7 but not Gen 8, then please use that generation's moves.
Upon creation, a Pokemon gets up to four moves based on their level. They can also get one egg move to fill a slot.
DAMAGE The damage caused by a move without any modifications is based on the power of the move and divided by 10. So, Tackle has a power level of 40, which means it does 4 damage without any modifiers. If an attack's power is not an even number (ie. Barrage with 15), then round up to the nearest ten (ie. Barrage becomes 20).
Simple enough, right?

[attr="class","info-base"] [attr="class","info-title"]APPLICATION ROLLS [attr="class","info-post"]Upon approval, there will be multiple rolls done by staff to determine your starting HP. These rolls will be six-sided dice, rolled however many times based on your level, and the sum of all those rolls will be your HP amount. Don't worry about the math; the staff will add them up for you!

[attr="class","info-base"] [attr="class","info-title"]LEVELING [attr="class","info-post"]Rather than keep track of who fights what, experience is gained primarily through posting! That's right, you will be rewarded for simply doing social threads if you so please. There are extra rewards in place for finishing threads, encounters in dungeons, etc. As a character's experience and money are combined, most shop items will be relatively cheaper to accommodate. Every time a Pokemon levels up, you will have three SP to allocate as you please. These can go toward anything, from making their Attack stronger to giving them more Health. To keep everything simple, the amount of points required to level up is based on a range. To level up, please visit the Level Up Store. Levels | Points | 1-10 | 100 | 11-20 | 150 | 21-30 | 200 | 31-40 | 250 | 41-50 | 350 | 51-60 | 450 | 61-70 | 550 | 71-80 | 650 | 81-90 | 800 | 91-100 | 1000 |

[attr="class","info-base"] [attr="class","info-title"]EVOLUTION [attr="class","info-post"]EVOLUTION IS CURRENTLY LOCKED!
Woah, wait, we can't evolve? Nope! Not right now, at least. Evolution and all it requires will be provided after our story reaches a certain milestone. Non-human Pokemon can start out evolved if they so please, and everyone will be allowed to semi-freely evolve once they meet their species' criteria after this feature is unlocked.
Semi-freely, meaning there may be an adventure involved!
