The first thing that came to mind when Touya set his eyes on the Guild was that it reminded him of a magical anime that also relied on such establishments, although this one was much, much bigger. And to see it with his own two eyes just made the whole thing more impressive, but he also was much smaller. Coming to terms with the height loss was a daunting task for sure. Luckily for the Riolu, this world seemed to accommodate creatures of all sizes. Ah, what did the pink stuffed toy call it again? "Pokemon?" They were called Pokemon.
Like a rip off of Digimon or something.
Maybe there was a similar line of logic. "Mon" might mean "monster", but what does the "Poke" stand for? Even if he traveled through a disc, nothing here seemed to hint that the world was made of data. At least everyone spoke English, but it didn't look like humans existed at all, though he had come across a few creatures that resembled humans in some way. Oh, and also none of their names ended with "mon". He furrowed his brows, deep in thought. His blue paws made it difficult to create some sort of journal to keep track of all the new information, but at the very least everyone spoke English and was using the Latin alphabet. Perhaps this was still a "game", after all? Or did the gods simply take pity on him? His mind was abuzz with trying to recount everything and observing his surroundings, taking note of all the strange forms and shapes and...
God, how many "Pokemon" were there?!
There were families, sure, but he could probably count fifty or more species as he walked through the streets of whatever this place was called (he forgot). Maybe it was like Digimon after all, which meant that this was going to be a pain in the ass to memorize. Ugh. Okay, focus on getting to the Guild first. He had to stop and ask some stall owners along the way to find it, but it was also a good test to see if they were NPCs or not. Well, it would be hard to figure out from one question, but he did watch for their reactions and nuances...
So far things looked really really realistic. He pursed his lips.
Sure, being in an actual isekai was quite exciting, but there was so much he didn't know about this place that it was more of terrifying than anything. Did he only have one life? Were there hidden stats? Elements? How could he even fight? Did he possess anything inherent to defend himself? What if he had to arm himself? How did the armless Pokemon arm themselves then??
By the time he got to the Guild's door, his nerves were completely wracked. "Hello?" it looked quite busy inside when he pushed it open. The lobby had more species that he didn't recognize and animated chatter. With his tail drooped (a feeling that he was still getting used to, but somehow felt natural at the same time), he would take a few, cautious steps in, wondering where the counter was.

"What do you mean there's no 'log out' option? Wasn't this supposed to be a game? Well, I want out!"
A voice sounded amongst the crowd, a naturally cutesy and high pitch that very much mismatched the grumpy tone the words were spoken in. It wasn't exactly a showstopper to break through the chatter in the guild's lobby, not rising much above the volume already in the room, but that wasn't the reason it might be noticed by a certain Riolu. And perhaps other moderately confused-looking Pokemon dotted about the hall. That choice of language was sure to catch the attention of some, while to others...
"Ah, um, I'm sorry Miss, I really don't know what you mean..."
...it was completely incomprehensible. The poor Deerling behind the counter seemed very bewildered and overwhelmed, even if the cause of it did not appear to be very intimidating at all. A small, green creature with a trio of leaves atop its head and a leafy collar around its neck, its large head and innocent features giving it an unquestionably adorable appearance. Angry, or perhaps moreso frustrated, but still cute.
"M...Miss...?" Doubly so by the pink tinge that crept across the Petilil's cheeks briefly, before she shook her head to regain her focus. She stared into the shy Deerling's eyes for a second or two, before letting out a disappointed sigh and relaxing a bit. "I... I see. Well, thanks for your help, anyway..." Hopping down from the counter she'd been holding herself up on, the bulb Pokemon made off to wander back into the crowds.

Touya's ears pricked at a familiar term -- log out? It only then dawned on him that he wasn't the only one that got sucked in like this, and didn't he try to get his hands on some other copies for his friends? He wasn't able to get a lot, and his source even said that he wasn't sure if he could actually spare some more discs, but if they were able to get their hands on it after all...
He cursed at the thought, hoping that they didn't fall into the same trap. Still, he couldn't help but also feel grateful that he wasn't alone, though he didn't want the little grassy thing to cause a scene, either. The stuffed animal that took him in warned him about that, and presuming that this world still abided by a game's rules to a certain extent, the lesser known one was as a being that fell from the sky, the better. The Riolu would quickly walk up to the other Pokemon and tap on its...err...shoulder(?) body? and placed one of his paws close to his mouth, supposedly a gesture to keep quiet. "I take it you fell from the sky too? We should talk about this in a quieter spot. I was told that we shouldn't alert the Pokemon here." he hoped that was sufficient enough to get the other to follow him. Where was a good place to talk, though? Certainly not the lobby.
Oh, there seemed to be a lounge over there, and there were fewer creatures there too. Seemed like a good spot. He was actually here to find the Guild Master, or so the stuffed animal told him, but that could wait.

Aki had not been through the best few days. Transported by a "game" into another world, a so-called isekai she was quite familiar with. What she was less familiar with was just how realistic it was... no, that wasn't quite an accurate description. This was not a very realistic world, or even the typical fantasy swords and magic universe most summoned heroes might be thrust into. There weren't any humans to begin with in this world, for in their place were many more intelligent creatures. "Pokemon", they seemed to be called as a group, though they were certainly not a single species. Their diversity was immeasurable, ranging from talking deer to flaming monkeys and living ice-cream, yet they were united enough to develop a fully functioning and rather advanced society.
Perhaps not realistic then, according to Aki's own reality. Instead, it would be more appropriate to say that it was very... real. The crisp breeze Aki felt across her face, the smell of stone and wood in the Guild hall, the warmth of the sunlight reaching in through the windows, all sensations that simply could not be mere replications. No pixels or polygons, menus or text boxes in sight. Not to mention the most impossible, yet most tangible sensations of all: Aki herself. The small, stubby arms and legs beneath an oversized head, topped with a trio of leaves. A petite form that felt not like a costume she'd been made to squeeze into, but like her body itself. Even the sound of her own voice, so high-pitched and girlish, was extremely off-putting.
But what could she do about it? She was grateful to have been saved from the looming forest, and to be welcomed into a developed city with no lowered status. But all anyone knew about the whole thing was "Pokemon falling from the sky". it was difficult to even get a grasp of what was going on, let along how to get back.
"Ah!"
And it was amidst those deep ponderings that a hand on her shoulder startled Aki back to life, and prevented her from walking any further without paying any attention to where she was going. She looked up, met with a blue bipedal dog-like creature, whose words moved her away from awkwardness and shock to instead reinvigorate her enthusiasm. "Fell from the sky...? Then, you're also...!" She began, showing her excitement briefly before suspiciously glancing around and lowering her voice to a half-whisper. "Oh, gotcha!"
The quieter place the blue Pokemon wished to talk in was just the lounge nextdoor, but it would do. "You're... a 'human' as well, then? Do you have any idea what's going on? How to get back?" Aki asked, hopefully. "This is all, uh... a bit more than I was expecting, from some random game..."

[attr="class","dilyrics3"]Your lips feel warm to the touch You can bring me back to life On the outside you're ablaze and alive But[attr="class","dilyric3"]you're dead inside | [attr="class","dibody3"]Yeah, the lounge did not seem to be the most optimum place to talk about something as ground breaking as...well, their whole situation, but it would have to do. Touya could not contain his excitement that he was able to find someone else, but then again, all of the humans that fell from the sky were supposed to congregate here, right? He didn't think though that they would be as obvious as this one, but perhaps more than anything he was relieved at their confusion. It meant that nobody really knew what was going on, not just him. He couldn't stop his tail from wagging, but he tried his best to keep his hands...no, paws on the table. The absence of fingers was still something he had to get used to, but he found that he could wiggle them fairly well. Sucks about the missing opposable thumbs though, but it was better than not having hands or arms at all. "Y-yeah...and honestly, I don't know much. Whoever found me told me that the Guild would be able to explain it to us, but all I know is that the Pokemon here don't know anything about humans. The whole "falling in the sky" thing is literally out of this world." he would speak in hushed whispers, but he had to make sure to calm himself down so that he could enunciate his words properly, "I came here after trying out that damn game too. It almost busted my computer before I got pulled in here, and when I woke up I already looked like this." the pup would pull at his black ears for emphasis. "They called me a Riolu. Do you know what you are called? Oh! And uh, I'm Touya. What's your name?" he was about to offer a handshake, but he would glance at the little leafy body and decide against it. He reminded himself again on how lucky he was, or at least this was the silver lining. [attr="class","ditags3"] Aki |
