Any interactions, really. The more the better. He's actively trying to seek out 'quests' and 'plot' for the sake of completing what he thinks is a virtual reality gaming simulation, so he is heavy on intelligence gathering right now.
I would very much like him to make some friends along the way, or perhaps even enemies. Romantically speaking, I don't think Riley will develop feelings for another character here any time soon. Higher probability if they are human because he will assume they are more 'real' than the other Pokemon in this world, but he is generally aromantic and in this particular situation he wouldn't be interested in complicating it further if he can help it (but if it happens, the heart wants what the heart wants).
